Anyone have a good protein mix they are using that is low BCAAs or natural? I am not sure if many of you are having the same problems, but in my 2 years of protein mix, my hair is falling out like crazy. Research has said it shouldn't be doing this, but I hear lots of hair loss reports :crying:
I do Pro-complex, but I know that is at the high end of protein and BCAAs, but most Whey I see all have high BCAAs.
Any ideas so I still keep the little I have left

Hmm, I've never heard of that. I've been using protein powder for years and I still have my hair.
What do BCAA"s have to do with hair loss anyway?
Anyway, what type of protein are you looking for? Whey, Casein, blend?

Whey, I think it's likely a combination of genetics and protein. The pro complex stuff may just get the testosterone levels too high for my body. The 2 years that I have been serious about protein and creatine I have noticed a decent loss of hair. Then again, i'll likely have very short hair for the rest of my life, so what does it matter

I think you must take great care of your hair before the time passed and you lost your hair totally.... use some good result oriented protein mix and save your hair's.....

+1. Hair is overrated anyway.
When we were all little spirits in Heaven waiting to come down to Earth, God got everyone's attention and asked, "Do you want hair or do you want brains?"
Some answered, "I want hair."

I drink unsweetened Spirutein Protein shakes every morning and probably helps explain why I have endless energy all day long.

But, more importantly, how's your hair?

I have protein shakes for breakfast every day... for many years now. I have PLENTY of hair... just not an abundance on my head. Of course, there is this genetic thing called "male pattern baldness". It's more proven than the ties of hair loss to protein. :)

I guess we know how you answered as a little spirit awaiting the train ride to Earth?

Funny you should ask, I just got a whim and cut it into a pixie last week....my job doesn't leave time.
J/Kidding, I have too much hair and it's to my lower back. It actually takes less time than short hair, lol.

My sister's hubby is big into protein drinks/supplements and he never looses his hair either, not sure which one he uses though but he's been using the same one for about 5 years now.... and he eats a lot of eggs too.
Trip I LOVE pixie cuts, I usually go with that but keep my hair short... now I have decided I will grow it back out long it has been ten years since I have had it passed my shoulders!!! I actually seen a way that I want it so it inspired me to let it grow, maybe if i can stand it I usually get bad headaches though b/c it gets heavy the longer it gets.
