Does anyone have suggestions for in-car printers. We are looking at inkjets. Are there any brands / models to stay away from or that anyone has had a good experience with. Thank you for your opinions.

I can tell you that the HP's are rated best by Consumer Reports for using up the most percentage of the ink in their cartridge, as opposed to the other brands.
I am a big HP fan, but I don't have any experience with how any printer works in a vehicle.

I have an HP mobile printer in my car. Damn good printer, bought it used for $50. Best friggin money I ever spent. Very reliable.
We use pentax thermal printers they work great for in the car use and we havent had any problems with them. Pentax PocketJet 3 Personal Printer reviews - CNET Reviews (http://reviews.cnet.com/personal-printers/pentax-pocketjet-3/4505-13255_7-31272315.html)

I have to agree with NYDS, I think thermal would be your best bet. More efficient, reliable, and they last longer than ink jet.
