All,
I am a NJ resident and I got a court notice for missing court date related to parking ticket in PointPleasant, NJ on 07/15 at 1:13 PM EST.
In reality, on 07/15, I paid off online a earlier 07/4 parking ticket and my vehicle is in Pensylvania at that time. The EZpass toll records clearly shows the vehicle entering a toll booth on NJTP close to PA. Also the ticket is issued for a temporary license plate which I discarded in favor of a permanent license plate two days before. I have Motor Vehicle inspection certification to prove that I no longer have the temporary license plate.

The similarities between first and second tickets is , both tickets are issued by the same officer and on the same Laurel Avenue street. I have never been to Point pleasant beach nor my vehicle after 07/04 experience.

I paid off my first ticket only because I cannot skip work to go attend a court date which is more than 50 miles from my home. Now I was asked to attend another court date to prove my innocence.
My question for you all, why is onus on me to prove my innocence ? Why should spend a day off, collect evidence, present in court and get it corrected ? Do I get compensated for my time and vacation day I lost ?

If I pay off this ticket also, what is the guarantee that I dont get any false tickets ?

If it is truly false, and you have to go through the hoops to prove it.... after all is said and done, go to small claims court and sue for damages.
