I am finally carrying a PLASTIC gun and I am loving it.
I bought one of these
Springfield Armory (http://www.springfield-armory.com/xd.php?version=113)
(the picture on the right)
With the extend magazine w/grip extension, I have 13 rounds of
.45 and grip is a lot better than a Glock 21. (either version)
My BladeTec holster just came in. I sighted in the
laser on my M6 and the holster, gun and light/laser are ready
for work.

I've got one, too. The subcompact, but mine's a 9 milli.

I personally don't care for those that much - the slide seems tall to me, like shooting a double-decker bus.
But, to each their own! Congrats.

I hear what you are saying, but you ought to try one.
The four officers here who have the XDs have shown
a noticeable improvement on their qualification scores
over their prior duty weapons.
I picked this one up from a young ex officer who decided to
try another career field. Insurance pays better and the hours
are more 8 to 5.

I have a 45 tactical and a 40 sub. Love em both. I am also a huge glock fan and prefer the 45 tactical to the G21 or G21 SF. Fun gun to shoot.

The other day I fired a friends XP..I am usually a Glock person but I will admit at 25 meters I was getting tighter shot groups than with my G-19. Although I am not going to buy one now (need a fund cite from the wife) I have put it on my "wish list".

It's not plastic, it's polymer.

All plastics are polymers, but not all polymers are plastics. Polymers are long-chain molecules.
So, technically, it IS plastic.
:)
Don't make me call Switchback and have him edumacate you on molecular structure, now!!!

Glock calls it polymer and that's all that matters because Glock is life.

Of course. In technical terms it is a polymer. But it's also not incorrect to call it plastic since that's the type of polymer it is. There are MANY different types of polymers...
Careful you don't choke on the Kool-Aid, homie.

I wasn't serious I was just teasing young kels...
The XD has better "pointability" than Glock. By that I mean I mean as soon as you point the XD its sights are about lined up.
