Hey all,
Georgia carry laws on weapons are kind of vague. I have Concealed firearm permit and carry a pistol, but I was wondering if that permit also covered knives. Can I carry more than a 3'' blade fixed open or concealed with my permit also or is it another permit. It may be outlawed completely. Thank you to all the men in blue.

Whitefeather, you have a Georgia Firearms License right? Where on there does it say concealed license? I'd be interested in learning who told you it was such. In our state, with that license, it covers both open and concealed carry. A licensed person can do either.
I would advise you to take a look at georgiapacking.org or the website in my signature to help you further on your firearm rights in our state. They may be able to even help you with your knife question. HB 615, currently in our state hopper further expands our carry rights in our state and gets rid of the old Jim Crow public gathering law. It specifically does not include knives, although our current weapon law does.

Georgias concealed weapons permit is specificly called a pistol permit and that it what it covers. Look on the front of your permit.
It's one of the oddities of Georgia law. A person may carry a firearm concealed with a GFL, but they could get busted for any other concealed weapon they happened to be carrying at the time.
I do believe that one of the current bills before the legislature seeks to address this.
