I'm starting a new thread for any of the applicants who are waiting for the call within the Atl FO, like myself. I call DHC on a bi-monthly basis and realize there hasn't been anything available in a long time. A couple months ago I had myself placed on the waiting list for Charlotte, but now I have learned that the "waiting list option" has been done away with. When one is called with a job offer within his/her selected FO, he/she must accept one of the given cities or reapply for the position. If anyone has has heard any rumors or has any information on when the Atl FO will begin opening its doors to new applcants, please chime in. I have heard talk in the past that the most likely locations to be offered would be Lumpkin, Charlotte, and/or Greer, but I'm not sure if the agency's needs have changed.

If you want a position as an IEA...call Dallas and take any other city they have in the US...I was told the the ATL FO has a wait just as long as Miami. You can always transfer back after two years of service.....See my posting on 2nd choice.

Unfortunately for me, I am not going to be able to relocate to available areas such as Arizona, NY, etc. I am willing to stick it out for spots in the Atl FO and am hoping that Charlotte will be one of my options.

wow it is good to hear something like this. When I applied for the position of IEA I looked at the area and read that Lumpkin was a high priority location and a extra hiring bonus of 5k was also being offered to people who get chosen to work there.

I passed my test and faxed everything over back in june. I also really cant afford to move too far. I live and work in Jacksonville, Florida and I knew the Miami F.O. was going to be packed so therefore i chose the Atlanta F.O.
