Welcome to the forum. You should definitely list that you have taken Extacy. Whether it actually was the drug or not, your INTENT was to take extacy, so that's what you should put down.
Also, I wouldn't sweat finding the addresses. They aren't going to need them.

The fact that you appear to be unable, or perhaps unwilling, to communicate effectively & intelligently in the English language? Yes, with this be a problem!

I pass the writen test. that shown i know a little about this language. but my spelling is not so good. but in person i very well l....
WRITTEN communications are extremely important in Law Enforcement. Your ability to communicate NEEDS to be well rounded. If you got hired by my PD and were in my squad , I would be ALL OVER you in regards to your poor use of the written language.
Your supervisors , Chief, DA and lawyers NEED to be able to read and understand what is in your report. A report containing the writing that you use would be kicked back by me until you got it RIGHT.
Poor language skills reflect on you as a person , an officer and the entire dept.

I do not see any reduction of culpability because the ecstasy you voluntarily took did not affect you.
You had the intent to ingest an unlawful drug.
You best tell them about it because if it hits during the poly, you are out.

iam able to speak properly. but not in writing. its my second language. i always had been having this problem...
iam planning and i will take course to write properly. but i could understand 100% of what every i hear.
its just spealling its my biggest problem. when i write something it seems like iam an idiot but when spoking in person sound well rounded person.
I just found out that one of my friend has been hired by San Diego Police. iam going to train with him twice a week.
I really want to thank you guys for your honesty.
my friend told me. no matter what you have done in the pass. tell them 100% true. no lie. no lie. no lie. if you think your going to fail the personal statement then you will fail. but if you lie ones dont even bother apply. because "like you said ones i hit the poly. and it detected i lie. iam out"
So iam just telling them what ever i need to tell them...
You is good as you just tell truth if dey axe you about extecy. The emportend ting is to just kep at it an don't ly about if you had use or not then when you got to try but your friend sayes stuf. good luk wif yur intervew an hopefuly thy dont maik u rite it out.

Providing false information, or failure to provide accurate information, is grounds for not being hired, or termination if applicant has already been hired. Very often the information that people are trying to cover-up would not have stopped them from getting hired, however their act of providing false information did. Termination can occur at anytime after being hired if false information was provided. It is always best to be upfront and take your chances.
