Since you claim use for fishing, if you keep something like a swiss army knife or multitool with a knife blade in your tackle box When You Go Fishing, you probably won't have any problems. If you are carrying a rambo III type knife in public when you are Not fishing or doing anything remotely close to fishing, you'll probably have some problems.

I'm sorry, but in my opinion any one under the age of 18 shouldn't be possessing a knife, even a small pocket knife unless there is a responsible adult around them to supervise them.

Too many kids and teenagers have gotten hurt from knives, yes even pocket knives as they can still injure you.
