But I won't be shooting if I can't remember the combination to the trigger lock of my former duty firearm (S&W 5946 9mm) which I purchased when I resigned from the Cincinnati Police Department. It's been a while since I've had the trigger lock off...and I can't remember the combo (at the moment). Maybe it's a 'sign'...like maybe I'm not supposed to go shooting? I'm (supposed to be) going shooting with the pilot who I flew with last week...the Tom Selleck look-alike. Actually, it's probably a good thing I can't remember the combination to the trigger lock since it'll probably keep me from looking bad on the range...he's a former FBI 1811 as well as a former United States Marine (AV-8 Harrier pilot)...as well as a FFDO at our airline. I should just stay home. :(

Actually, it's good luck. You really don't want to go to the range with that double action only alloy framed boat anchor. What's the trigger pull on that bad boy? 12lbs? You'll have blisters 100 rnds in and need IV electrolytes to recover!
Now-accept that the hand of fortune has touched you upon the crown and go by a 1911. :D

mine's still available, hell you could fly to Atlanta, and I could meet you at a gun store to ship it back to a gun store in whichever state you live in. :D
Why would you put that on a gun anyway??
As I remember, you said it had something to do with that certain females
bra size.:eek::p
PS, I told you to write the number down inside the box under the foam.

Looks alot like my 4046 that I bought back. What a POS gun it is, heavy trigger pull, lots of malfunctions.
Just use his gun that way you don't have to clean yours!:D

You won't look bad, Cincy, I'm sure you can hold your own and then some.
You might even pick up some great pointers from the gentleman.
Have a beautiful day tomorrow with Tom Selleck. :D

Try 000.
Better yet, sell it to the gun store and pick yourself up a nice Springer XDm-.40.
Let them cut the Brady banner off of it.
I had the chance to buy my old 4046 when we switched over to M23's and I refused to.
I wasn't offered my M-23. :(
Now you have a good excuse to cover up your potentially lackluster score ?? :D:D

Good times!
The wife unit 'reminded' me this morning that the trigger lock combination might be my birthday...which it is...DOH!

It looks like you shot a nice tight group there, Cincy. Or was that "Tom's" group?

We won't talk about my paper.

Yeah, but could he hit a Russian submarine from a moving helicopter like you?

The wife unit and I have wee ones running aimlessly about the house. I keep my S&W locked in a cabinet...but I use the trigger lock as a second level of safety.

Probably not.
But in his former life he was way cooler as a USMC Harrier attack pilot. That's like a sore d*ck...you can't beat it. LOL!

I think I've had it with guns [since I suck at them].
I'm upgrading to a lightsaber [see cell phone video below].
It's not mine [it belongs to our 7 year old son, Max] but I'll have my own soon.

Padawans.....
A knowledgeable weilder of a lightsaber would be able to maintain consistency in the light's color. Changing colors are for those not weak enough to maintain strength in the force.
Pssssshhh.....

LOL!
So that's how that works?
I just thought it was cool that it had different color [and sound] capabilities.
Our son unit failed to provide a [or any for that matter] proper lightsaber briefing.
Therefore...he will be grounded for one year...and no freaking Apple Jacks for one year.
He's going down.

Let me get this straight. You locked your firearm and couldn't remember the combination so your Marine buddy brought extra weapons for you. You got outshot in pistols by a Marine. He flies a cooler aircraft.
You keep doing stuff like this and we're going to need bigger jars.:D

That's pretty much it, Mike, but my wife remembered the lock combo so I did shoot my own firearm. My Marine buddy and I fly the same aircraft now [MD88/90] but yes he did fly a cooler aircraft when we both served in the military. :D

I can't sell it. It's the duty firearm that I carried on patrol during my short tenure of two years at the Cincinnati Police Department...it's an important momento to me. Also, I shoot better with it than any other firearm [pistol] I have tried.
What's a PPK kinda guy? I'm not familiar with the term 'PPK'.

Oh, I see now.
I always thought James Bond's gun was fictional...as in it really wasn't a real make or model of gun...but then again I don't know much about guns. :(
Anyway, I cleaned my S&W tonight. I really hate cleaning my gun [now] since when I used to do it in the past [over two years ago], I was always drinking brewskis...big association...clean gun = drink brewskis. But I can definitely clean it faster [and better] now not drinking brewskis. :)

I have a Walther PPK/S .380. Calibre sucks for this weapon as the spring is too stiff/round is too weak. g/f thought this was the gun she wanted to shoot because it was small but quickly learned lesson in physics as the weapon is too light. This equals a bruised hand and stovepipes galore. Also barrel is welded to frame making it a pain to clean. Anyway, I have a 92FS that is much easier to shoot, more accurate and a better round.
Now, if you're talking home defense with small children, I have to go with the 454 casull, S/W 500 and 12 gauge pump shotgun. These are the kinds of weapons that don't require ammunition. Rack the 12 gauge, and point the hand cannon. Once the bad guys hear the sound and realize that the tunnel they are looking in is really a barrel, they lose the will to retain their bowels. And without any ammo, no threat to the little ones.

(Sorry for bringing this back from the dead.)
Only problem with not having the shotgun loaded is that the idiot may call the bluff. If I point a weapon at someone, I'm prepared to put a hole in them!
