We brought Tony Home last ysterday, 8 weeks and 4 days after he was shot.
He still has a long road ahead of him, including daily outpaient therapy, but what an inspiartion he is to us. If you click on the link below you will see video of him walking out of the hospital.
Just before he walked out the door, he was being pushed in a wheel chair. At his request, he got out of his chair so he could walk out the door. He refused to be in the chair when he emerged from the lobby. As you see in the video, he stopped al saluted all the officers that were outside saluting him as he emerged.
That instantly brought me to tears, and I'm in tears sitting here writing about it.
He really is a hero to all of us.
