I was wondering how well your fitness workouts work and what you do exactly to stay in shape. Thanks.

Nothing compares, assuming you don't have a problem putting 100% into a very intense regiment. It is no good if you do it half-a$$ed.

Well....I do what he does. But I do it by half. So I guess that would make it half assed, but it still kicks my ***. It is also the only other workout, besides TKD, that has ever actually changed/molded my body.

Crossfit. Will be mixing in more running when the temps stop being -20. I refuse to run on a treadmil.

I don't think that's what Switch meant. If your max is a % of what is posted, then it's not half-assed for YOU.

Normally I would agree, but I've found it's not too bad if you do the 400 meter / 50 squat x 6 routine on a treadmill. I live in the land of snow so there's just not much choice about it if I want to be able to run a decent time on our QFAs. :(

Ouch!!! :D
I'm 51. I go to the gym five days a week, start out by lifting weights (because I like that) for about an hour, and then I get on an elliptical trainer for 30-40 minutes. I alternate different muscles different days, and if they weather is nice I will sometimes go on a bike ride instead.
It doesn't make me Arnold Schwarzenegger, but it makes me feel good. :D

Five. I guess I was just thinking it instead of typing it. I actually just got back from the gym (I had missed the last few days because my wife had to go out of town and I was having to get the rugrats dressed, fed and off to school :D).

Michigan is not much better when it comes to snow and cold...
I wont do even a 400 on a treadmill, I can't open my stride (I'm 5-11 w/a 35" dress pant inseam) enough to get a good run -at least not in my opinion.
Speaking of mixing in running...check this out:
