I was wondering what is the best way to get in shape and lose weight too, faster. I've been doing some workouts but I haven't seen any improvements at all. On the 24th I did 3 miles, of mix. Like sprints, walking, running. Then on the 25th I did 5 miles of mainly sprints and jogging. Then today the 26th I did 3 miles of brisk walking in the snow. I've also been eating whole wheat, fruits, fat free milk, and healthy food, but there still is no difference. What would you recommend? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
you seriously don't "expect" results in 3 days do you?
as far as advice, don't put a lot in the pie hole; eat less, excercise more...
There is no painless way to get in shape faster and you still have to take some days off to rest or it won't do you any good. My program when I was younger was always to work my *** into the ground m-f, and then do nothing on the weekend but easy fun exercise. Your mileage may vary and I sure couldn't have kept up my crash programs very long.
Example of one of my crash programs.
Get up go to gym and lift weights for two hours (alternating muscles every day).
Go and work out on stairmaster at lunch for 45-60 minutes, 5 days a week.
Go run 5 miles on mwf and 3 miles t-t, trying to never run less than an 8 minute mile.
Take leisurely bike rides on weekends.
Eat right. Cut out the five C's: Cookies, cakes, candy (sugar), Cokes(soda) , and Coors (alcohol).
I did this for a year, and it builds you up and leans you down fast, but I actually felt better, and was stronger and faster, a couple of months after I quit this routine and went back to normal.
And, I was 36 when I was doing this program, getting ready for some very physical training I had applied for. It was my last hurrah. :D
