Hello all. I am scheduled to start the March 23rd session (basic law enforcement) of the Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy (HRCJTA). I have a few specific questions about the academy, and I'm hoping some recent graduates can answer them:

1. I assume there is a morning PT session each day. Please describe a typical morning PT session (types of exercises, runs, etc.).

2. I've heard that you also PT every hour on the hour during class. Please describe a typical hourly PT session.

3. I know you get basic tactical pistol training, however, at HRCJTA do you also get patrol rifle and tactical shotgun training?

4. Is "active shooter" training offered at the HRCJTA?

5. At the HRCJTA, do you do any FoF (force on force) scenario based training with simunitions or airsoft?

6. I know that the HRCJTA doesn't have a vehicle track on campus, so where is the EVO training held? I hope it's not in a parking lot with a bunch of cones! I know VBPD does their EVO training at Blackwater's track.

Thanks for your time!
