A quick questions about home defense. If an intruder enters or breaks into your house, is it against the law to defend yourself and others by shooting the perpetrator?

and wheres that? so one really cant shoot, of course at last resort, an intruder? the reason I ask is because I have been told mix things from people. If they are in your house you are allowed, if they are on your property you are not. By of no means would I ever want to shoot an individual but when it comes to protecting my family, I will not let the intruder get close to harming someone.
So whats the law?

slow down just a tad, think about what you are typing...proofread it, then, if it makes sense to you, post it.

# 1 - I have absolutely no clue as to where you live, so I really cannot give you an intelligent answer.

# 2 - you Could take my answer either way...

In your own home in MD you DO NOT have to retreat from someone when breaking into your home before you can take self-defense action.
