Nothing besides a felony or domestic abuse is an automatic DQ. It may not look good though.

Not trying to be mean, but if there was an issue that requires the lap band, can that person perform PT as required? Are they fit enough for the runs? Laying in a pool of sweat for an hour?

I'm going to guess you were in the same situation as I was in. I was heavy at one point. I just started walking to school, eating better, and changing my sleeping habits (that's really important). It does a real difference. They also have access to your medical documents, so if they see you lost the weight without surgery, it makes you look like a very strong willed person I'm thinking. :)
