I would like to take this time to thank all the Police wives and husbands and significant others! Over the last 5 years, my wife has put up with three job moves, late night call outs, loss of numerous weekends, injuries, illnesses and dealing with the loss officers, many that she did not know. All the while her answer was " We deal with what comes together". She has accepted my children in to her life as thier mother, and never blinked. She has met teachers, fought school battles, doctors appoinment and putting up with deprogramming the girls when they return from a forced visit to the bith mother. She has stayed up late with me while we waited to hear news of my injured Canine, and sat quietly while I vented about my Command,News, and the ever pleased General Public.

It takes a special person to have a relationship with a member of the Law Enforcement community. My best memory was watching her at her first Police Week memrorial here in DC. When it was over, she was quiet but I saw a different look in her eyes and she wispered, "Now I understand".

To all of you, Thank you for the support, patience and understanding.

I'm with you on this Rich. If my wife only knew how much I appreciate what she does for this family. She is the rock.
I watched the interview last night on Glenn Beck with the Border Patrol wives. These 2 strong women were there fighting for their husbands. I thought briefly would we do that for our wives?
I do think when you have a strong support system at home and don't have to worry, things are much better at work and you can focus on the things that truly matter.
