Tonight, I have a Fort Worth Ride. The Arlington was great but it was a Sunday day shift. A Friday night in Fort Worth should be interesting!

The ride was awesome! It definately shored up which department I want to work for. The officer I was riding with was extremely informative and professional and even though most of the calls were "boring calls" (his words), we still had a handfull that were great! Felony warrant arrest, foot pursuit, etc... It was a cool night.
Now I just have to find the patience to wait until they begin testing again.

Good luck to you tryst91! I'm graduating college on Dec. with a CJ major and planning to apply anywhere in DFW myself. I did ride along with Arlington PD twice and I had great experience. Ft Worth is my next department I'm going to ride along.

Have a few detective friends from Arlington. Also met a few their officers at my DARE officer training and SRO training.
From what I understand it's a very professional and progressive department.
DFW area is ripe with great departments.
