I have not met one personally, but I know that they are out there. BSA rules state that they cannot discriminate against; age, race, sex, or disability. I for one think that it would be ok to have a deaf explorer but restrict him, or her, to meetings and certain activities.

Welcome to Real Police! If you plan to stick around, I would go introduce yourself in the "Rap Sheets" section.

As for your question, I've never encountered a deaf explorer. But, as Forehand stated, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) guidelines state that no post can discriminate against disability. So technically an explorer post could have deaf members, blind members, etc.

While a bit off topic, I still can't figure out why our cell-block elevator buttons have braille.

I also have not met a deaf explorer. As was stated, BSA and the department would have a no discrimination policy so they would be allowed to join. However, depending on the severity of their condition, they may be restricted in details.
