I just called to see if the list has been established, however there is no record of me taking the test. However, from the last time I posted, the DCAS automated system said there was record showing "I took part or all of the test, and that the list has not been established." :(
Has anyone else tried to call?
I called, there is no record of me taking the test.

I took the 8050 test as well on october 18th. I got my score and my number...which I forgot at this moment but I have not been contacted in any way regarding this test to go in for interviews, physicals etc. Is there still a hiring slow-down going on and if so is this test the one that is most affected? I know the 07/09 hiring freeze has been lifted but what does this mean for the peple that have taken the 8050 test?
Also, I recently moved and did an address change with DCAS, but have not received a confirmation letter from them that they received the updated info. Should I be concerned and call somewhere to find out?
Bottom line... what can those that have taken the 8050 test expect for hiring?

Hey, if I were you, call the apd and get your list number. I found that dcas and apd have different list numbers. I've been told the apd list numbers are more accurate.... Also, if its the case that apd is more accurate..m I wud def follow up with the status of your address change

I called the APD and they told me that for 8050 absolutely nothing is being scheduled. No calls have been made etc. As for my address change I have to go to Centre street myself to do it because they "never received the letter" I mailed to change it. So I have to spend my day at centre street to correct this address thing but even more annoying is that for all of us that have taken 8050 all progress is at a standstill. I can't imagine how long the wait will be. I also took the trooper exam and they've only processed up to #2303. Both agencies are pretty slow at the moment it seems so at this point maybe other options may be more attainable.

as far as the address change, i remember reading in either on the Dcas or nypd recruit FAQ section about having to mail a request then show up in person to make the change... Makes no sense.. seems like the city and the ppl that work behind the desk are overwhelmed or just plain stupid sometimes...
I called last month and asked what number test they are up to and the lady said their doing the 4's-6's.
I can assume we are looking at 2011... what other options have you looked at? I'm taking the NYS court officer exam tomorrow...
