:confused:i am at the end of the hiring prosses ( i think) for the border patrole. all my stuff is done. test, oral, medical, etc. and i stoped hearing from all the background investigators from all the states i'v lived in. so i assume my file is with the background adjudicater now. my Q is about this "60 day letter". i read on honer first in the "hiring prosess" section that after the background investigation you are called and given "a vary short time" to report to your duty station. but on another page in honer first, he talks about the "drop of a hat club" and a 60 day letter that you should have before joining the club.
Dos any one have any detailed information about the finale steps and time line for hiring before going to the acadamy?

Obviously Border Patrol recruitment has declined dramatically, since BIG joined and departed.

Before anyone begins to think about answering any of these questions, you need to learn to rewrite and rewrite this drivel, disguised as question.

And don't give me any of that, "When I'm on the internet I don't pay attention or I didn't come here for grammar lessons", crap!!:mad:

If a professional answer, from professionals is what you seek, then post a damn question as a professional. ANYTHING less, isn't worthy of any of our posters to even begin to waste their times.

Redo it or go somewhere else.

Thanks, Big. There was a time when one could feel proud of making it through the USBP process. Congress has obviously done a fine job at changing that.

LMAO, there was just an article in an LE magazine last month about USBP lowering hiring standards. Looks like they should have an english as a second language class.

Those were not the responses I was looking for. I understand that there is a certain level of formality to discussions on this forum, but I didn’t think I needed to peer review it like one of my old college papers. What I came looking for was knowledge and mentoring. Instead, I get “professionals” who think they are English professors.
Maybe that kind of anti-fraternalism is a contributing factor to the border patrols’ high attrition rate.
I’ll get my information somewhere else. Thanks.

Well allow BIG to advice you that perhaps the Border Patrol, of which BIG SEXY is a extremely proud former member, may not be the career path for you.

The last thing BIG, or anyone else here for that matter, would want to see, is a fine gentleman such as yourself infected by our fraternalism. You see, it isn't anti-fraternalism, for you are not a part of our fraternity yet.

Now if you had typed you first post as eloquently as your second, we'd have been more than happy to have answered your question to your satisfaction.

You don't wear sweats to an interview and expect to be hired. Well sir, this was your interview on our fair site and BIG must say, your first impression was woefully inadequate.

Considering that you have in fact shown that you are capable of coherent thought, if you'd like to start again, we'd be more than happy to accept you. If however if you want to catch an attitude, over your previous complete and utter butchery of her majesty's english, than as they say in Jolly Ole' England. Don't let the door knob sit you, where they good lord split you.

Considering it's been well over half an hour since you posted the above and you're quite clearly still here. Either (A) you want to debate or (B) you're looking to try again.

There are many former as well as current Border Patrol Agents on this site. Only you may decide if you will partake in their collect wisdom or not.

BIG, I have no problem taking constructive criticism. You are correct on many points. I am not here with an attitude; I simply thought that conversational grammar was acceptable here. Apparently it is not (I have no valid excuse for the misspelling). Any advice about the subject matter of my first post would be greatly appreciated.

Can a current PA address this young man's question about the current BP hiring practice?

Thanks it is appreciated.

I've been out for a while. Thanks for the above ;)

As far as the original question USBP tries to send out the "60 day" letter to advise interns that they should receive their employment offer soon. This gives said intern time to get ready since you normally get very little time to prepair once you receive your offer. I got less then 10 days notice and I'm sure Big & Charley had about the same.

FYI,
report writing is a huge part of being a LEO. If you write like your original post then sooner or later that crap will show up in your report(s).

Like many I might not know you to put a face with your reports but I can put a name with a report and when I do meet you all I can think about is how I have to double check your paperwork

By the way I had to read your post about 10+ times before I could understand it.

You call your first post " conversational grammar ?" WOW. I call it the musings of an undeucated backwoods dimwit who barely graduated from the 3rd grade.

How someone can even type that way is beyond me. And I somehow managed to eke my way thorugh 12 years of high school.

If any of your BP app info contained " conversational grammar" , I wouldn't be quitting my dayjob if I were you.
