One of the best books I've read in a long time; It's a thick book, but a very quick and captivating read.
It's part story, part autobiography of Edward Conlon, a now NYPD Homocide detective who recounts his thoughts, feelings, and actions from the first day at the academy, to his now gold shield detective status. All the while looking back at how those thoughts, feelings, and actions have progress and change overtime.
My suggestion for anyone in need of something to read: Go to a place where books are sold or rented, AND buy it, or rent it! hah
