I can find out just about anything about you from a plate number. I can find out other cars you own, where you live, who your neighbors are, previous tickets and arrests, driving status.....you name it.

Why don't you just buy insurance and you'll have nothing to worry about!

I don't think this would be the correct way for a police officer to be talking. It leaves a bad impression. Find me a job or drive me around to look for a job and then I will have enough money to pay for my insurance. And I haven't been driving around without insurance so maybe you should find that out first before jumping to conclusions.

If I was on duty and in uniform and had stopped you , I would have said and done everything I first stated except probably not called you a bonehead , even though you would qualify.

However, under the right circumstances , I might have done so anyway. People that drive without insurance leave a REALLY BAD impression. They are willing to risk the rest of us because they dont care about themselves. As a result , I have to pay about $100 a year EXTRA to carry uninsured motorists coverage so I dont lose my home if an uninsured person hit s me.

I left home at 17 and found a job. It was called the US military. I have not been without a job ever since because no matter how lowly the work ( including doing temp work for a temp agency) , I WORKED.

I bought my first car , paid my own insurance etc. Maybe if you wouldn't be afraid of getting your hands dirty or your back a little sore , you could be employed too. Good workers that show up on time, dont goof off and put in a days work are VERY valuable.

Are you a valuable person ? If so , you CAN get a job. Just be willing to WORK and show them.

You may not have been driving around without insurance but you were sure THINKING about it.

Dont be a bonehead.

I shovel snow, rake leaves, mow lawns, do anything i can find. fill out applications, call back. I can't be in the military because of a medical condition. My parents wouldn't let me get a job until I turned 18. They gave me 2 months to find a job, which I did and then kicked me out of there house because I wasn't interested in their religion. I never goof off i never got the chance to do that. I really hope u aren't a cop because ur personal advice isn't appropriate and i certainly hope that you don't jump to conclusions as a police officer as much as you do on this forum.

Now what did BIG SEXY do with that rat's @ss that BIG doesn't give.

Listen kid, BIG is going to tell it you you as bluntly as possible. There is not a soul here, not a one. Be they civilian, military or police, who even begins to care what you think. We wouldn't give you a penny for your thoughts, not one single solitary cent,

Then don't go off topic giving people advice that is inaccurate and unhelpful. I wouldn't give a penny for anyone elses thoughts either. I just wanted a simple and accurate answer to my question so I could better understand the law and what I ended up with was someone's opinion about people that drive without insurance.

Sounds like the government to me. You are on a police forum and now YOU proved that you work for the government by the preceding statement.
I'm not intimidated. I'm standing up to the accusations of driving without insurance and being called a bonehead.

As you can see by your above quoted question, there isn't anything within said question, which comes close, not even relatively, to being considered to being a question in regards to any aspect of the law.

"What u can see when u run someone's plate?" This is not a law question.

"Can u see whether insurance is expired or cancelled?" Once again, where's that question regarding the law?

By reading the context of your question, any police officer would assume you're driving without insurance. There is no stretch of the imagination here.

Thus they answered your question the best way they saw fit. You don't pull any strings here and the police puppets automatically do your bidding, answering anything only the way you want it answered.

If that isn't proof enough that you're a bonehead, then you're too boneheaded to see it.

DAMN!! BIG has lost a few brain cells to suicide by even engaging in this interaction with you. You may want to change your name to spraypaint can and call it a day.

Because , perhaps 5 minutes ago, you actually did go our and get insurance and the DMV isn't aware yet.

it tells us pretty much everything, including what your thinking, what you had for dinner last night, and your favorite color, unless of course your wearing that damn tin foil hat that blocks our brain scans.

If the cop doesn't have his hat on when he/she gets out of the car then you don't need your insurance. If they say anything then tell them you're going to report them for not wearing their hat.

It does say whether or not you have insurance, the question of law is whether or not YOU have "proof" of insurance in your possession. Yes you can get cited for not being able to prove it.

Same reason they ask for your registration even though it's on the back of your car, you're required to carry it and PROVE you have it.

By the way, McDonald's is hiring at $8.00 per hour.

Because if you don't have proof you can receive a ticket:rolleyes:
