Is anyone from this forum going through the Suffolk County Correction Officer process?

I am not, but a few yeasr ago one of my old NYPD co-workers left the NYPD for them. He is bored crapless, but making more money than NYPD guys and gals he graduated with. Additionally he is spending less time at work than in the NYPD for more money. And he gave up a commute from LI to Manhattan each day. He likes the job, but misses the NYPD.

I’m surprised that he’s that bored, I would think that it would be an interesting job. It’s good to know that he is making good money though.

Thanks for the input.

He went from being in a police car answering 911 calls to sitting in a confined are watching the same group of perps. He is not doing anything other than counting, cuffing, moving, standing and watching others.

Oh. I guess that can get pretty repetitious and boring, lol. It’s never anything new, like Police work. Thanks for elaborating; now I understand.
