I'm not sure if anyone else follows these. I typically check them every week and I was disturbed (but not suprised) by what I read about the Steelers. The are ranked number 2 behind the Cowboys. Here is what it said:

"New England has been a thorn in the side of the Steelers for quite some time. With Tom Brady out, the Steelers can start to dream big."

This bothers me to no end because it appears to me this season is already ruined. No matter who wins for the AFC it will only be because Tom Brady is out for the season.

I will admit I can't stand Brady but the guy is a great QB. He is not, however, the whole team. If the Patriots truly are legit they will be capable of going the distance this year with or without him. Just my .02...

It is funny how Big Ben is the product of the scheme, is over-rated, and not an elite quarterback, and that the Steelers don't have an excuse when he's out (and still hang in most games, if not win them), yet here we see the Patriots in full excuse mode.

Don't wish injury on any player, but Karma can be a biatch sometimes...

Get caught cheating twice and get let off the hook twice. Then, as if ESPN's man-crush on Brady and love affair with the Pats* weren't enough, CBS goes and marries Kraft.

Let's see what the league can do to help ease the Pats* woes and give them a few wins. They could barely get by the Chiefs, but they'll get enough calls to help them get to a 5-0 start for sure.

Then explain why Wilfork got fined for a hit in which he was tripped and fell ito JP Losman. Pollard was down and got partially up and dived into Brady's knee and wasn't even effin flagged. NFL call that a legal hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah they sure do love the Patriots.

I remember the AFC championship back in the 2001 season when Brady took over for Bledsoe in the first few games they genius Steeler fans were burning an effigy of Bledseo thinking he was still the QB.

It seems Steeler fans are not as classy as their organisation which stated that the whole spygate crap had no influence on any champsionship game they played against each other.

And Brady is a huge part of the team as is evident by the Patriots being underdogs against the Jets and not mentioned in NFLs top 12 teams so far thsi season.

For the record I think big Ben is a top tier QB in the league and has amazing percentage ratings in every game...

GrayPatriot,

Those types of hits happen all the time. It even happened to Big Ben against the Chargers a couple of seasons ago, causing him to miss some time. It sucks, but hey, Rodney Harrison, one of the leagues dirtiest players (according to the players) said it was a clean hit. If the Pats are good, they'll overcome. Heck, I hope they do. I hope they win every game except when they play the Steelers, that way the Steelers look better. I had Brady for fantasy football, and I've picked up Cassel just in case he pans out this year.

I'm not going to try and defend all Steeler fans. Every group of fans has its bad apples, and the Steelers fans' behavior is not always up to par. But, when alcohol, stupidity, and grown men with ego's and insecurities try to act tough, bad things happen.

The same can be said of a lot of Patriots fans and fans of any team.

It's my opinion that the league has a love affair with the Patriots. Many share my opinion. Many don't.

In the end, opinions only mean anything to the person who has them.

Best of luck to your team, to Brady and his recovery, and to you. Can't wait for Brady to get back so the Steelers can shut him down!

Actually there is some truth to that. I'm one of the biggest Steeler fan ever. But Ben hasn't shown he can "carry" the team with his arm. He needs Parkers running to set up his game. Yes he's had games that he carried the team but he can't consistently do that. I think he can be that kind of QB. He seems more mature this year so maybe this is his time.

He is NOT over rated. He IS one of the elite QB's in the league.

Steelers have probably the toughest schedule in the league. If they can finish first (which they should) in their division they have a good shot at the Super Bowl.

Don't know if you read Monday Morning Quarterback (MMQB) on cnnsi.com
by Peter King, but he ranked the Jags 4th, but he ranked my Titans 14th!!!
And we destroyed the Jags!!!!

I feel you on the whole Brady/Steeler thing. Believe it or not a few weeks ago I chose Big Ben over Brady for my fantasy because I believed Ben would be a more effective QB

I had Brady too but fortunately I have Jay Cutler as a backup!!! I am expecting good things from him this year...

I'm stuck with Kitna and Cassel. Sad thing is, had I started Kitna, I would have won last week. Kitna isn't too bad though. He'll get around 20-30 points a game in the league I'm in. Brady... he'd get 40-50 though.

Though Turner from Atlanta got me 36 points. Hopefully he'll keep that up!
