Hartford has been a hotspot again this year. I am interested in people's thoughts about why this is and what can be done. It has gotten so bad that State Police have had to intercept (yet again). I hear that when state police have to help out a local dept that is considered a bad thing. Thoughts??

Hartford has a lot of crime and an understaffed, underfunded police department.

well now they are really in deep s**, last night at the end of a parade, gunfire erupted killing one person and injuring several others. Including children. Underfunded? Well, how much is it costing to get state police involved?
That actually helps Hartford. You see, when they underfund and understaff their PD, the state sends in the SPs. That way all of us non-Hartford folks pay for it since the money for the SPs comes from the state taxes.....
It's a great wealth-redistribution scheme. Hmmm... that almost sounds like Obamism. :p
