I need help trying to find a diet that won't leave me feeling like I am starving. What kinds of foods are good to eat, but where you have plenty of energy, while still trying to loose weight, and a little bit of exercise? Any advice or help, would be great.

Check out the forums at bodybuilding.com They have loads of information there regarding nutrition and routines.

For works for me. Im 6'2'' 232 lbs. I try to eat lean proteins, good fats and good carbs.
Examples of each:
protein = tuna, egg whites, lean beef, lean turkey, chicken breasts, low fat cottage cheese
good fats = extra virgin olive oil, eggs, salmon
carbs = brown rice, oatmeal, veggies

I eat about 2500 calories and do cardio just about everyday. For cardio I might run for 15 minutes after a workout, goto the track and do sprints or just walk around town for 60+ minutes.

I've also heard that eating five smaller meals a day keeps you feeling fuller than three large meals, though I've never tried that because I don't eat much anyway.

As already mentioned, smaller meals are always a better way to go. It beats the crap out of starving and then eating too much.

Life does not always cooperate with eating a bunch of small meals, though. In stead, I keep healthy snacks handy. I have a huge bag (from Cost-Co) of shelled pistacchio nuts. A couple hand-fulls of them really wards off hunger pretty well. I also keep foil packets of tuna and salmon in my glove box. Go for the steak varieties, as they are a whole lot easier to eat than the minced meat... also, they can be found right there by the canned tuna. I also keep Cliff bars and MetRx meal-replacement bars in the car. They all beat the crap out of going to fast food!

I also keep a similar stock at home for those time when I get home too late to eat a big dinner, or need something to take the edge off on the way to the gym without filling up.

A small amount of trailmix in between meals allows you to feel more full, and get in some of the healthier fats. This allows you to eat a smaller meal so you don't end up overeat because of your hunger pains. Costco sells them by the ton for pennies.

Also, I know you folks may laugh, but drinking a fiber drink (metamucil orange is pretty good) in between meals helps, in conjunction with a very small snack such as almonds or trail mix. Fiber does wonders for hunger and weight management.

The smaller meals a day will also help increase your metabolism. Keep up the smaller meals (once every two to three hours) and soon enough your stomach will start to physically shrink and not need as much to keep full.

But, otherwise, meats generally take longer to digest in your stomach, so they will keep you full longer.

Hate to say it, but you are destroying muscle in addition to losing fat.

edit: Eggs are NOT good fat! lol. This is why I tell peopel to say away from media-hype literature such as bodybuilding.com or Muscle and Fiction magazine.

Keep lots of cucumbers and pickles around, as well as celery. They have almost no calories, but help to make your belly feel full. I happen to love dill pickles, so it's a win for me.

Every day, eat a breakfast consisting of either oatmeal or plain/vanilla yogurt mixed with fruit. It's really satiating.

Keep snacks in the fridge that are healthy, so if you are hungry you have something already available. And don't keep ANY fattening stuff in the house; toss ice cream, cookies, chips, or anything that is really tempting late at night or when you're hungry. And don't buy any more of that stuff.
