They are in Orlando, Florida at Disney Land this year. They kick off on Monday the 18th and go til the 23rd of August. This is expected to be one of the largest attended Olympics in the 36 year history with 9000 competitors in a variety of events.

I fly down on Sunday the 17th, and will be ready to rock and roll come Monday morning for powerlifting. Our super heavy weight did a personal record bench last night of 585lb's, besting the standing world record of 560lb's. Now he just has to replicate it on the stage.

RP leo "148" will also be there competing along side me too, so this will be a really cool event. I'll post pictures and video afterwards. Now I have to trim down to my 198lb class from 205lb's! :D

What are your numbers for the big 3 lifts? And don't forget to have fun, that's the most important part. ;)

Well, just got home from the games, and man was it awesome. I met lots of really cool cops from all over the globe, and we left everything out on the platform. I took Bronze in the 198lb class after a gamble to retake the gold.

I deadlifted 560lbs, but got called for locking and then unlocking my knees. That pushed me down to bronze, and out of the world record total I wanted. Now I am more motivated than ever to beat the competiton again in two years at the next games. I am happy to say that it was all USA in the top three in both the Super Heavy Weights, and my class. We edged out the Russians, and Romanians who were incrediable lifters.

Last but not least please acknowledge fellow RP member "148" who annihilated the competition and bested his own world record in the bench with 365lb's at a body weight of well....148lb"s!!!:p

Tony, you are the man!!! My hats off to you, and the class act of all your lifters who showed up.

Just got unpacked. Thanks for the pat on the back Joe, it was a great time. Joe was right there for winning Gold, i thought he got screwed on his 2nd and 3rd attempts on deadlift, which if i am correct would of won it.

We made some great new friends, exchanged hats and shirts w/ the Russian lifters. AND WOW did they have some hot female swimmers. I am in love w/ one of them. But i dont think my wife will let me bring her here to America.

We are all so jacked up that I think we are going to do Vancover even though we said we would not.

My only complaint is that it was to spread out and we couldnt see everything we wanted to see. But still a great time.

Joe thank Tim for me again for hookin us up on a ride to the airport. it saved a ton of time and money. We owe you big time.
