Need some fresh blood in the land of delicious meat section

Things I like about living Virginia:
-Winter, spring, and fall weather
-The arrest process where I work. Magistrate on 24/7 so no waiting forever
-Court process, writing all tickets to one day instead of letting the ticketee go set the court date
-Lots of Civil War history, lots of other history for that matter as well
-Has both mountains if you like hiking/camping and the ocean if you like going there
-Halfway between vacation destinations in New England, NY, DC and destinations in the south
-Decently priced gas compared to other areas
-Richmond is a pretty bad city. Losts of violent crime and gang activity- this equals lots of fun at work

Things I dislike about living in Virginia
-right to work state, my pay sucks
-Very high cost of living in most areas, too high for my sucky pay
-summer
-no white Christmas. The only day I really want snow
-Richmond is a pretty bad city. Lots of violent crime and gang activity- this is not a great place to raise a family

Pretty fair assemsment. Although in the SW part the cost of living is low enough to be able to afford some things.

My new department surrounds the largest city in SW Virginia. Hopefully I'll get some bleed over for some fun.

Well, I know that I have had a very limited experience, but I have LOVED some of my trips to Alexandria. It's really a cool place to hang out.

I didn't care for much of the bleed-over from DC, though. :)

To be as close to DC as Alexandria is it really is a cool place. Old Town area is pretty nice.

Old Town is EXACTLY what I was talking about. We usually stay at the Embassy Suites on Diagonal.... GREAT TIMES!

If I move I'm moving to Williamsburg. One of my favorite places in VA.

I haven't been through it's Fall or Winters yet, but I have to say I have seen all I need to see. Virginia is my next home, or hopefully my summer home. :)
