I just finished watching The Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. They both play the usual types of characters they play, but I was really impressed by the movie. Not a real tearjerker, but it definitely gave me pause several times. The dialogue between the two is pretty dynamic, I thought.

Agreed.
My wife & I took her dad to see it in the theater and it brought tears to his eyes... I suspect in part because of how close it hit home to him. He's in his mid 70's and getting around is getting difficult.
One reason I like taking her parents on traveling vacation trips, because outside of them visiting with relatives, they'd never have seen some of the places we've been.
Previously, they'd never been West of Tennessee or South of their daughters place in Jacksonville, such as that is.

I heard it was a great movie, but me personally dislike movies that leave me feeling sad and sappy. Just my .2 cents:)

It wasn't so sad & sappy as it was that they set out to do something and accomplished their goals for their life.

Interesting movie with too much drama, the plot was a reheated altered version of "Joe VS the volcano" entertaining neverherless and with Jack Nick losing his edge.

My g/f rented this last night because I had been wanting to see it.
My Dad has been fighting cancer for 5 years and has lived about 4.5 years longer than they thought. I just brought him home from the hospital Friday again.
The movie really hit home for me and made me tear up toward the end. My Dad had so many things he wanted to do when he retired but he got sick. He was tight with his money all his life and now he can not enjoy what he saved. It made me realize that you have to live within your means but if you want something and can afford it you better buy it.
The last time he got sick I went out and bought a Harley because I always wanted one and could afford it with a little OT. I still put in too many hours at work but I really enjoy my job.
