I know there has been some discussion about the classes, but has anyone read the book? Is it at all helpful or informative without the practicals or the instruction that go with it?

Thanks!

Not sure, as I've attended the courses with the course workbooks. It would be tough to learn the technique without seeing it being done (the seminars show video of Reid & Assoc. interviewers in action, which helps to make the points made in the technique make sense).

Not really about the Reid model but have you guys heard of the Peace model?

Thanks ROS!

AlphaOscar - haven't heard of it, but I'm not on the job, in the biz, or otherwise related to the field beyond having stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

It's helpful once you know what they're talking about. I wouldn't get it without taking the course first.

Too late! It will be here in a couple days. Oh well, there are worse things I've spent 30 dollars on. I'm sure I can glean a couple interesting things from it. But it sounds like I probably won't get TOO much until some agency hires me and puts me through a course.

You can put yourself throught he course if you wish. It's not cheap, but it's also not a class exclusively offered to law enforcement.

I've been thinking about putting myself through the class.
