I just did an open challenge off of powerlifting site I am on and it kicked my butt.

The goal is to squat *** to grass with whatever weight you can for 20 reps. This has to be done raw with no gear, belt, or knee wraps on. The catch is to post yourself doing it on youtube or some site to verify it. I did a warm up and got after it.

225X20 for 2 sets, and I was nearly ready to puke. However, I am now obsessed with doing it again as soon as my legs recuperate.

Very good cardio and exercise in building muscle endurance. Who's game? Where you at Gray Patriot!!! You are a running fool, so you might have to go 30 reps to make it fair!:D

I have tried the deadlift your bodyweight as many times as you can in 5mins. That one leaves me feeling like I went a few rounds with Mike Tyson -- w/o the broken bones and fractured skull of course.

My kness are shot from running all the time so I am going to chicken out of your challenge for now, but if you want to try the deadlift one...


You got me on strength but I after I am finished my current weight lifting program I would like to see how many times I can bench 225 - proper form no bouncing... I am sure you are way up there, right?

A DL for reps sounds fun. It is a favorite exericse for me. I don't know how many reps I could do with 225 actually. I just did a benchpress meet last Sunday in Niagara Falls and did my first 400lb competition press, so I was happy. Syndicated Strength Alliance was the federation.

I could use a good shot of cardio to keep me well rounded. I get to focused on the powerlifting movements and neglect the other health training, so I need to put more into my workouts like I used to.
