Hey all... Driving thru LA on my way from Phoenix to San Francisco area on Sunday... Any tips on what time would be best to get thru LA? Otherwise, I will wave as I drive by!!!!

I don't know the freeways very well, but in L.A. you will find traffic on the weekends, Ada. :) I would think the early early morning going thru L.A. would be clear.

Gee, too bad you were coming thru on Sunday, because this upcoming Monday happens to be our annual Survivor's Memorial Golf Tournament for fallen officers.
That would be neat if you stopped at the country club...:D

Being a New York City girl, I sorta expected traffic! LOLOL Not going to be able to do early early morning... Hope mid day is not _too_ bad.

Would love to have been able to stop by and see you at that tournament, however, work is not giving me time off for good behaviour...

Plenty of Sunday drivers in L.A. on Sundays, so no worries it's probably the only day with no traffic around here.

Chances are that everyone will be hitting the beach (Malibu, Venice, S.Monica) so you should expect those areas (Pacific Coast Highway, westbound freeways) to be a little crowded.

I will be close to UCLA behind the Federal Building on Wilshire Blvd. ;)

I've been doing that trip in stages, Normal! LOL I did the NJ to CO bit 4 years ago, then the CO to AZ bit 2.5 years ago, now the move from AZ to CA! LOL So, yeah, I understand your pain... Do I sympathize? LOL I vacation in PA every year. I drove last year, from AZ to PA in 2.5 days. By myself. So, no! :p LOLOL

Yeah, I noticed traffic was nice and light, did not need to get my NY on.... Never made it down to your area.... LOL And I guess I behaved myself. No tickets, no nothing... LOL

No, that's where I live, in between the V.A. Hospital and UCLA.
I was always a Westwood Village junkie, ever since the 80's anyway ;)

Its good to know you got through La-La land safely....now the trick is to survive in northern California with the rest of us!! HA HA! (Especially S.F)
