I am finally under 220lbs today. I weighed myself at the Y and am down to 217. I am trying to get down to 208-210 by July. I have completely given up fast foods, and severely limit my sweet tea intake, and for anyone who lives in the south can tell you is like liquid candy. Oh well time to head to the gym for the daily workout. Appreciate all the advice I have gotten on the forum.

You know, it may not be a bad idea. I know many people that have failed because they were too strict for too long. You have to live a little. You don't want to do it all the time but once every few weeks won't hamper your results.

I do not even know if I could eat fast food right now if I wanted to. I think the initial shock to my system would keep me in the john for a while. The only real fast food I eat is subway, and that is just because it is right next to me house. I still indulge occasionally in a cookie or piece of cake, but instead of eating 3-4 per serving, I only eat half or one. It makes a big difference and do not have the guilt later on.

I'm with you on the temptation.....only mine is the Cajun food....it's hard to cook it and not eat it...but I've managed to control my cravings to the point that I've lost 20 pounds since this time in January.....finally down to 190...and hopefully, still losing more. With medical limitations at this time, I feel like I'm lucky to have lost this much so far.
Good job and good luck.
