So, I really don't know what to say about this video. Just hope the officer can, find a healthy way to deal with this tragic incident.
I already know what I think. What do YOU think? Is there a point that you are trying to make with this thread/video? And what do you mean when you say that you "hope the officer can find a good way to deal with this incident"?

Lot of things could be happening in the incident.
1. Did the officer stop him for traffic, or did he know that the guy was a suspect in a weapons related offence.
2. Did it look like the guy was reaching for a weapon - it did to me, just as the officer shot it looks like the guy reaches near his waist.
3. did the office rhave previous knowledge of this guy? previous threats etc
4. basically a lot of what ifs.
I hope the officer is fine.
Moral is dont' fight with police

I think the officer was completely justified, if the guy was reaching for a weapon (which Aussie is right, now that I look at it again). As for the what do you mean question? I mean, it is not going to be easy for anyone to take another life. That is why I pray that this officer found a healthy way to deal with the fact that he did take another human life. Justified or not it CAN'T be easy. Samuel, I did not mean that the officer did anything wrong, and I am NOT going to MMQB the officer or his actions. I just wanted to get some imput on what other LEO's thought of the incident.
I also thought this was just a place to put police shooting videos at least that is what is says in the little blurb under the section to click to get into the area.
I do not mean any disrespect to ANYONE nor would I EVER show ANY disrespect to a LEO.
The reason I asked those questions is because you were pretty emphatic about your opinions on two other video clips - i.e. the veh vs BG at the end of the pursuit and the missing teeth punk. You didn't say much about this video so it sounded to me like you were of the opinion that you didn't believe it was justified - you just didn't want to come out and openly say it. Then, when Aussie gave a few possible reasons, you seemed to change your mind.
To repeat myself and others:
1. Uses of force Rarely ever look "good" - especially to the untrained/ignorant
2. Video clips Never tell the whole story - especially if/when they are poor quality and/or edited
3. To be able to form an Educated opinion, or hold a worthwhile discussion, we would need more facts/information about an incident, especially the officer's articulation for the use of force

I understand, thanks for the insight.

I agree. Easy to arm chair quarterback this one and say it's a bad shooting, but there are a lot more questions to be asked.

Video doesn't give us a background. What type of stop was this? What was the call for? Appears that the suspect may have reached for his weapon. Now, to me, that means the officer is justified in using lethal force.
If anyone were fighting with me and reached for my firearm they would be shot.
