Just applied for a Dispatcher position in Sunrise FL.. Does anybody know the time it takes for them to actually call you back?? I took a test the day I turned in my aplication. The test was a typing test to see how fast I type. I passed it and they said that it would take a week for the to know if I qualify. Once I qualify they will send my application to the Sunrise Police department and fro there the lady told me that it is up to the department to decide.. Does anyboy know how long it takes, for te process of becong a dispatcher?? thanks

This is agency specific. It took my agency about 6 months to do all of the required hiring testing including a physical, BI, written test and interview. It may be shorter or may be longer. There is no way to answer with a specific time frame.
