Hello to all of you Michiganders! I just took my Civil Service Exam today for the Michigan State Police, and my proctor was talking to one of the other MSP hopefuls about the lack of testing that has taken place in the Detroit testing location. She was saying that in the Detroit location, there have been alot of people signing up, but not actually showing up for the exam. Have any of you out there heard of this happening at other testing locations? I was shocked to hear of it. I thought that Law Enforcement hopefuls from all over the state would be flocking to this...

No job security in MSP currently to be honest....not like how it used to be...

They haven't really advertised it that much either compared to prior years

But...

There are a TON of people applying...and only a few will graduate to become troopers...just remember that

So has anyone who took the MSP Civil Service exam gotten a notice to move on to the next step? I just took my test on June 5th, so I have some time to wait still, but I was just curious if anyone else is any closer. I know that there is a tentative start date of August 10th for the academy, and there are many more steps to the process to complete between now and then.
