The Internet is a good place to start. First, figure out what you would like to do in law enforcement, and where you would be willing to do it. Then navigate to interested agency web sites and determine hiring status and whether you meet the basic qualifications. Finally, apply as desired.

Consider the feds as they will give credit for military service towards retirement, if you participate in the buy back program, and towards the rate of accumulated annual leave. Many state and local agencies also offer incentives to honorably discharged servicemembers.

Spend some time learning how this forum is structured, and what the rules are. You will likely find this site an excellent resource.

With less than a year remaining on your contract, now is a good time to start.
