Well now the Wings have made it to the Stanley Cup, their first game is on May 24; the same day as we are going down for the Tigers game.

Its going to be NUTS I already know. I know to stay away from Hockeytown Cafe even though I go to it every time we go to a Tigers game.

Anyone have any suggestions on parking? We were going to park by Motor City Casino, and take the People Mover to the stadium, but thats a tad close to the Joe.

Last time I went to a concert I parked for free at the MGM Casino and took a cab. Worked well but had to wait 10 minutes or so for a cab to pick me up. MGM is easy to get to, lots of different ways to avoid traffic. Park on the hotel side valet, much less crowded.

I would park away from the area and walk. The farther you park away from the croud the easier it will be when it's time to leave. Plus you don't have to pay out the *** for parking. :D

Detroit reminds me of Beruit back in the bad old days.

Yeah, that WOULD normally seem like the best idea, but not necessarily in Detroit. LOL

I honestly just get rides, or pay the insane prices for parking.

If the carry rules would just change, I'd feel better about it. But I have done the group thing. Was o.k. when I went with a bunch of guys. When I went with the ladies, well, little to our knowledge, we had a police escort.

Yikes!!! Yeah you have a point. I wish I could carry, it would beat this pepper spray I have on my key chain. I work on a bad side of town. So I always have to be prepared for the unexpected. :D

I just wished that I could trade up my tickets for some Game 1 tickets. I'd be a happy man then
