In all the years I've lived here in Upper Darby Township, I've never seen the UDPD do a seatbelt check - that is, until today.
Are these checks done frequently in townships across the state? Are they state ordered, or just done at the discretion of the PD doing them?
Although I wear my seatbelt all the time, I was curious what happens when you come across someone who isn't wearing one while doing these checks? Do you ticket them or just tell them to buckle up?
One last thought - because I live within a stone's throw of Philadelphia, my hope is that while the UDPD are doing these checks, they'll come across Eric DeShann Floyd, the POS who took the life of Sergeant Stephen Liczbinski. So to the UDPD, please be careful!
