Hi. Yesterday I was taken in by mall security, for shoplifting (at a major dept store). No cops were called, but I did have to pay a restituion fee, and sign a waiver never to come back to that store/mall. They also found items (from other stores), but those managers from those stores never came to me, while I was being detained. What happens now? Is this over?

Nope, it isn't over.
Did you learn anything or is this just the occasional " business slowdown " for your line of work ?

I am a store detective that is what I do while I go to school so basically if they did not have you arrested then it does not go on your record. But if they kept it that means its for there record if you come back in to attempt another criminal act. Basically I would stay away from the store.

Whenever I used to pick up shoplifters from any store security, it was SOP to give Notice of Trespass, which meant that if the arrested ever stepped onto the store property again they were subject to Trespass arrest.
Stay away, little Klepto.
Thread necromancy  alert.
