Was playing hockey with my fiancee and noticed this on both of my wireless controllers. Just curious what this is for? Plugging into a steering wheel or something?

I keep forgetting I have a 360 for some reason. I guess I need more games...
I have NCAA 2007, NHL 2007, COD3 (Really only play NCAA and NHL) PGR, and Need for Speed Most Wanted.
I think I've played PGR once or twice. Same for NFS-MW.
Only thing I don't like about COD3 is the controls I guess. I like to be able to use my mouse to quickly turn and shoot or something. Just seems too slow, maybe I just need to get used to it.
Other then COD4, and GTA IV, what are some other games that are worth getting?
Also, can you buy just the line for the rechargeable wireless controller to recharge it? I only have one for some reason.

That is the port fot the wired headset. I think gamestop carries the cables for the plug and play setup.

Yep, headset plugs in there. They also have a keypad so you can text message people on the system.
You can buy the kit to recharge the controller. It comes with the rechargable battery. If you're just looking for a since charge cable, check ebay. You may find one cheap there.
As far as games, look at:
Bioshock and Assassin's Creed
I had alot of fun with the Lego Star Wars and Crackdown(Like GTA except you're a super cop), and the Guitar Heroes Series.

I just found my unopened headset haha :)
Also,
When you leave the controller plugged in, but have the Xbox off, does it charge? I don't think it does since the light isn't on. Also, when do you know its charged? Is there anything you should look for? Finally, is it pretty accurate when you hit the center button and the xbox screen pops up, where it shows you battery life, is that pretty accurate? Like I said, I haven't played much

On a related note my 360 just left in a white box for Microsoft.:o
Not the RROD but the reader was the issue. I'm already having withdrawals.

Is that common? Just curious
If you have to send it back, does it cost $ for you? I don't remember when I bought my actually so yeah. I don't think I bought the service plan either...
I made the mistake by moving my xbox and rotated a bit and I heard the disc rub and stop. Hopefully no perm damage

I don't believe that it continues to recharge. I would suggest Halo 3!!!!!!! I would also recomend getting the rechargable battery packs, it saves on buying batteries.

I have the rechargable battery packs ;) Just without the recharger pod thingy
Everything worked just fine tonight so we're good there.
Anyway, I gotta stay away from Halo 3, just so it doesn't turn me into that music video ;)

Is it common you ask? The guy at the UPS store freaked me out when he said "Another 360 eh?" Yeah, it's common and things like the red ring of death are covered even if the warranty expires. I sent mine off for free. When you register it on xboxlive they'll tell you your warranty info based off your serial number. You can register it at any time. I registered mine about 5 minutes before I started a repair claim.
What you described can put a circular scratch on a disk and render it unreadable but probably won't hurt the console. As long as you didn't know it off a table or something.

On my xbox, if the cable is plugged in and charging the controller (red light displayed) and I shut down the console, it will continue to charge the controller. You'll hear your system fan still running.
Having it running like that for a long period of time doesn't thrill me so I always unplug it, then shut it down. I just let it charge when I'm actually playing.

Sorry to hear MX,
That is why I bought mine from BestBuy. Bring it back in and get a new one, no questions asked. :)

Mine will be back Monday after it's second trip to Microsoft since January. One no video display and one RRoD.
