I have serval firearms and just recently bought a new one. The problem is, I really suck at shooting. :o I've gone to the range quite a few times, but not as often as I would like or should and I know I need help!

I would really like to take a course but haven't a clue where to go. I know there's an indoor range close by - Yeadon, I believe - (or is it Darby or Lansdowne?) but I don't know if it's specifically for officers.

The range I go to is outdoors (French Creek) so seeking help there for a course is probably out of the question - besides, it's quite a hike to drive out there.

Any suggestions?

Hey Kate, here is a link to Targetmaster which is located on RT. 202 near the Delaware border. I have never been there, but I heard that the place was pretty nice.

Kate,

There is a public range located next to D&L Police Supply. They're located in the Yeadon Industrial Complex and the owner is a retired Lansdowne Police Officer.

Good luck!

Shame you can't come to Texas, we hold classes on the back porch. It's where all the nieces and nephews learned to shoot.:D

I know exactly where that is. It's actually the one I made reference to in my original post. I just wasn't sure if it was for those in LE only.

I will definitely inquire about classes, as it's very close by.

Thank you, Skippy. Much appreciated.

It takes me about 30 minutes to get to Delaware, but it's still a shorter drive than going to French Creek. But since Skippy responded, I'm liked the much shorter distance a whole lot more! Thanks, though. I really do appreciate your help. Thank you.

If I move down to Tennessee like I am thinking about doing in the future, I'll be able to do that! ;)

"Being that this is the internet and I have yet to be vetted by the forum and could be anyone claiming to be a police officer. So, while you're including your return address, also include the times with which you'll be out of the residence, so I can give it a "security check" and let you know what you have to do to prevent burglaries. "

How about finding a none 5 month old post in which to make your introductions.

Speaking of that area, I just had my first trip actually 'into' Philly. Delivered at the Nabisco/Kraft plant on US-1. How many of you's live by there?

If you came all the way down Rt. 1 in the opposite direction, you would have eventually ran into City Line Ave (Rt 1) which changes over to Township Line Rd (Rt 1) once you hit Delaware County. I'm a few minutes from there.
