The state sections are brand spanking new. RP just added em a few days ago. Actually, he just added A LOT of sections a few days ago.

As GS said , these areas are brand NEW. This is still primarily a police site and cops aren't as prone to chat as perhaps a Myspace chatroom would be.

There is really no point in state specific areas here.

I know! - Although to be fair, last time I booked and found a nice HowardJ for a nice price I booked like two weeks before I was scheduled to leave, probably a "pinch" rate. So I think I'm just going to keep checking as the time draws near.

I was very happy with that hotel and room in general, clean, centrally located and overall a good experience.

Nope, apartment hunting. But I dont mind acting like I'm going to a conference if it'll save me $$ :p - I just need a bed!

Realistically speaking though, I mean, the prices aren't really BAD, like OMG! But I wouldn't mind having to pay less ;)

Forget the hotels, since you got wheels and seem to like adventure, drive around to the area you think you'd like to live, look at the rental signs, call them up, and ask to see the place, you might get lucky and if the unit is ready you'll move in next week.

Meanwhile until all the credit checks get through Cali has some great camping spots for nature lovers you might want to check out.
Some of those got showers, John, BBQ, and at night you get to hear the sexy sounds of all kinds of night insects that will keep you company. ;)

hehe thanks - I found a good deal, apparently the longer you wait to make a reservation the cheapest they are it seems.
