So whose all from Michigan here? ;)

Born and raised. Go Spartans!!

Not born here, but raised here. Been here since 1969, minus 3 years in Georgia and 4 years in Hawaii. My footprint is in the mitten. :D

Not born here, but raised in Oakland County. Just moved back (this past Friday) after being gone almost 10 years.

Needless to say, things are a tad hectic as I went right back to work on Monday. :o

Born in Battle Creek (Dad was in the Troops here) then moved to the UP (when I was 1y/0) and lived in Newberry until my mom died (around 4y/o). My dad remarried and we moved to Clarkston/Davisburg area down state until about 6th grade them moved back to the UP and lived in Iron River until I graduated. Then moved away to WI and TX for a short time while in the Coast Guard then in 1998 back to MI... this time to the hell hole that is Detroit. Now you know WAY more than you probably ever wanted to about Chewy! :D

We might as well just rename this area "Hockey's sub-forum"

I can already see a pattern of Hockey starting all the threads in here.

Hows the job process going?

Well, I had seen on another board that FPD filled those two positions. So I am not sure what to believe. But I still may have a chance when a few retire this year before the August acsdemy.

Dude! All you needed to add to that was where you've go grocery shopping each time you move. No, I don't want to hear Meijer! :p

No, I'm a die hard Farmer Jack customer. That was devistating when they shut down. Now we do Kroger but it's just not the same. In the U.P. we always shopped at the local mom&pop stores or IGA. My parents were big on supporting "the little guy" stores.

See I always preferred Kroger over the Farmer. ;) :p ...and it was really odd moving to New England and not seeing Kroger there, especially since I think they are in just about every other state.

However, the 15 & Orchard intersection along with Union Lk Rd & Commerce does look odd not seeing the orange Farmer Jack signs anymore.

Michigan born and bred. Lived there all my life except for the four years I was in the Army. Now I'm doing four months in the DC area for work.

Oh no... I have a MUCH more important dangerous job now. I get the horrible honor of teaching these morons how to shoot! I'm within 1/2 of a mile while they are handling and firing live ammunition which, I think, puts my job at the top of the "worlds most deadly jobs" list!! :D

I wasn't talking about the Canadians, I was talking about OUR OFFICERS... Seriously, I think that with some of them the safest place for me to be is directly in front of them!!! :D

Hi new here and Im a Mi born..Love it here but hate the snow:eek:

Born and raised in Lansing MI. Lived in Ypsi for awhile then went to work for Detroit PD and had to live in the city. Now back near Lansing.

I hate the snow, but it is what it is.
