We use that week to hold a small party where the employee of the year is announced. (Employee of the year gets a nice plaque and a $100 gift card to a store of their choosing.) Anyone that has been there for 5, 10, 15, etc... years gets a longevity award as well. (Years of service equals the amount of gift card you get-- 5=$50, 10=$100, etc...) The local media comes to do a story in the paper and the police and fire chiefs from each town we dispatch for come and hand out the awards. Our Director usually gets us some kind of little trinkets or knick knack gift. Each day of that week is also themed, dress down day or whatever.

We have a local dispatcher's association, and they put on a banquet and awards ceremony. All the local agencies submit nominations for Dispatcher of the Year, Incident of the Year, and Comm Center of the Year.
At my agency, we have some give-away stuff, with a drawing for each shift. Most of the stations send gifts. The Chaplain's office comes over and cooks for us one day of the week.
