Miami here... Well I was denied from de MDP because they didnt like what I said in the Poly.. So I applied at the Miccosukee Police & im waiting for them to respond...

How's it going? I applied a few days ago for a second time (for Miami-Dade Police)... 1st time- my online status marked as "interview" but never got a word for the testing so I applied a 32nd time and now, was set a date to take the CJBAT 7/17.
I've been told not to worry that it's a common sense type thing.
So if and when, that's passed..what's next? I know it's a loooong process.

The CJBAT they have now is a little harder than it was in the past, but not by much. I got a 96% on the old version, but only an 89% with the new version, both without studying.

The next step? The poly. Get ready for a LOOOOOONG wait after that. I waited over 4 months after passing my poly to call and find out what was going on and was lucky enough to get in touch with my BI. He said that due to budget cuts that they won't be starting academy classes until maybe October when the new fiscal year starts. My BI still hasn't even been completed yet and nobody I had listed as a reference has been contacted that I know of. I applied (3rd time) in November just to give you an idea of a timeline.

The good news is that I was also told by the BI that they phased out the video assessment test, so no more playing police officer in front of a camera. Good luck (and lots of patience) with the rest of your process.
