I just thought I'd share this with those on here looking to lose weight. Its a website called fitday.com. I just started using it and it looks like it will be a good tool for me and make things a lot easier.
You can keep a food log and the site keeps track of calories, fat, carbs, protein, etc. Not only that but it shows you what percentage of your daily intake is fat/carbs/protein. It also shows how many calories you burn daily from your normal activity.
You can also enter what physical activity you do and therefore the site keeps track of your calorie defecit.
It has other features including a journal for you to enter whatever you wish. I have a link to mine in my sig. Hope this helps others...

Very cool site.
I've got about 10 lbs to lose. I'm already down 14 from 6 weeks ago. That will put me in the middle of my target weight.

Does anyone really log every activity, like, 10 minutes of shower, 5 minutes on the john, etc.?

...or logging activities online :D? Seriously though, it's a great idea, I actually used something like this trying to GAIN weight until I got into the habit, and it worked well.

I used to use this site but it was full of Americanisms, and I found it hard to convert items.
I swapped to an English version and have lost 17 pounds:cool:
Keeping track of everything you put in your mouth (enter giggle here) is a great tool. I did it for 3 years or so to drop a good amount of weight. I focused on cal/fat/prot and keep the sugars and sodium/salt down. I added everything from vitamins to drinks and regular food, even gum and stuff like that. REALLY keeps you focused.
Good luck. Remember to get in lots of water too. If you're working out heavily, well, I am taking in about a gallon a day. Your body can't properly work without lots of water.

My biggest problem using the FitDay is that I have to find the best match for a food -- like, "egg, large, fried" insists on calculating itself using margarine, but I don't use margarine. I deep fry them. ... Just kidding! ...... Really!
It does help a lot with foods like eggs, oranges, etc. that don't have nutrition info right on the package, however.

How about eating less and excercising more.
Does anyone know of a website where I can buy some diet discipline? :p
