Just got a call a few minutes ago from the railroad. Train hit a subject on the tracks... DOA. More on this tonight when I come in, once we figure out what happened. Just thought I'd pass on some morning cheer. Good way to end the shift. lol

That's what I thought, too. Responded to one last year that wasn't that messy. Local had been drinking and ended up asleep on the tracks. He was pretty much intact, except for both feet. They ended up, one on each side of the tracks.

Have had several of these, one an 18-year old deaf girl. Several as suicides. If they catch on something hanging off the train you can have body bits spread for 700 yards.
What's bizarre is that the locomotive has an outstanding camera system. You can see the same thing the engineer sees, a suicide calmly walking out and laying on the track right in front of the train. It was VERY hard to watch the tape of the girl, she was walking just outside the right rail busy texting on her phone and never even looked up. The locomotive stair and railing on the front right side crushed her skull. The engineer took it VERY hard.

I've only seen one of those but it was the worst thing I've seen. The lady had narcolepsy and after a midnight stroll made the tracks her permanent bed. The train didn't see her until it rounded a curve and by then it was too late. The low clearance between the cow catcher and tracks made it much worse than a train without one. Much worse.
I've been to a few myself. For some reason the aliens believe that snakes can't cross over the tracks so they will sleep on the tracks. Last one had two brothers. one mad it off the traccks one didn't. That one was bad. Can't even think about watching my brother get hit by a train.
I've also seen both verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry messy and not so messy. The messy ones happen much more offten.
If I were going to do the suicide thing going by train wouldn't even be on the list.
there was a guy here in ma that got hit by a train about amonth or so back.....but somehow he lived.

Yeah, but what you said wasn't worth the post. "Somebody, somewhere, was struck by a train also".
Way to contribute to the site. What did we EVER do without your insightful posts? Probably drooled a lot and banged our heads against the walls. Thanks for saving us from us.

Leave CVPI alone man, that is kind of interesting that someone could live through being hit by a train.
