According to The Officer Down Memorial Page, Baton Rouge, La. K-9 Officer Mark Beck was killed when his cruiser collided with a tractor trailer on Feb. 25.
The truck had come to a stop at a railroad crossing, as required by law, when Beck's cruiser struck the rear of the truck, the report states.
Beck was flown to Earl K. Long Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His K-9 partner was injured in the crash.
