I am soliciting opinions on a good pair of search gloves to use in the field.
We have disposable latex available, but I am looking for either a neoprene or leather for quick and dirty use in the field before we get the subject back to the office for a more in depth search with the latex. No, we don't do cavity searches.
Thanks for your responses.

You might check out your local sporting goods store.
I get mine from playitagain sports for $14.00. They are just black batting gloves and I just darken the logo (currently an "E" for Easton). I don't know what they are made of.
I'm through paying $40.00 on "police gloves" which are no better than the batting gloves.

Hatch Street Guard!!!!! they are cut resistant and have good feel and dexterity. I wear mine maybe 7hrs a day and search 30+ cars each day. work good on patdowns and doesn't affect weapon handling.
Fingertips tips wear out first, i can get about 6 mths on a pair but i'm a little hard on them. not bad for $28 and they are machine washable.
I used to use turtleskins, they lasted longer and they offered more protection but they were not machine washable....in south Texas that SMELLS and they were much more $$. even washing by hand they reaked, glad when they started tearing.
